Apprentice Stage Director

/Stage Manager

 

Opera Pomme Rouge (OPR) is happy to announce the opening of the Resident Artists Program (RAP) in 2017-2018 season (From fall to spring) for Apprentice Stage Director (ASD)/Stage Manager (SM) that will take place weekly at the Blue Building (Midtown, Manhattan NY).

 

ASD/SM will participate acting classes with singers. They will also have the opportunity to learn directing, time managing, diction, theater technique, movement, make-up, lighting and acting.

 

Upon participation in the program, ASD/SM will have chances to be offered to observe master classes by international conductors/coaches from Europe. 

 

The weekly session schedule:

9/1, 11/10, 12/1, 12/8, 3/16, 3/23, 4/6, 4/13, 4/20, 4/27,5/4. 5/11, 5/18, 5/25 (6:00PM-10:00PM)

 

Performance date for this season:

10/29, 11/5: Performance of Meistersinger at the Queens Library

12/16: Semi-staged holiday concert of RAP at the Opera America Center NYC  (details subject to change.)

5/20: Semi-staged mini concert at the Opera America Center NYC (details subject to change.) 

 

 

While there is no lesson fee, there will be a one-time registration fee of $10 for the winter/spring 2016 semester.
