Resident Artist Program
Opera Pomme Rouge’s Resident Artists Program was created in 2015 for supporting NY based opera artists to solidify their professional career. The Opera Pomme Rouge’s Resident Artist Program offers a full season of education program for talented artists beginning their professional careers from fall through May.
A full scholarship (value of 2000 per person) will be awarded to 3 singers, 1 pianist/coach and 1 stage director/stage manager each year.
Resident Artists receive weekly-based private and ensemble lessons and performance opportunities at concerts, semi-staged performance, donor functions, and educational events.
The Schedule for the season 2017- 2018

9/1, 11/10, 12/1, 12/8, 3/16, 3/23, 4/6, 4/13, 4/20, 4/27,5/4. 5/11, 5/18, 5/25 (6:00PM-10:00PM)
Performances for the season 2017-2018:
10/29, 11/5: Performance of Meistersinger at the Queens Library
12/16: Semi-staged holiday concert of RAP at the Opera America Center NYC (details subject to change.)
5/20: Semi-staged mini concert at the Opera America Center NYC (details subject to change.)

Audition details:
When:
Audition & Interview: May 5th, 12th 7PM to 9PM
Call-back audition: May 26th, 7PM to 9PM
Where:
The Blue Building(near Grand Central, NYC)
You will receive a detailed schedule and address after May 1st.
What to bring:
-A hard copy of your resume (in addition to submitting online)
- A hard copy of your headshot (in addition to submitting online)
- An audition repertoire list
An accompanist will be provided for a $15 fee (please bring cash). Otherwise, you're welcome to bring your own accompanist at no charge.
Materials Required:
- Please specify which category you are applying( singer, pianist or stage manager) .
- A your résumé
- A your headshot
- A cover letter or personal statement. (please include why you are interested in applying this program)
-A bio (100 words max)
-A letters of recommendation (Please feel free to reuse any letter of recommendation that you already have one )
-An application form (please download it from the link at the bottom of the page)
- (Optional) Video/audio samples of your work (video/video clips are accepted as Weblinks to clips hosted on external sites - YouTube, Viemo, etc. Applicants should provide passwords for password-protected videos if applicable)
